This position can work in any Anthem office located in the following California cities: Rancho Cordova, Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Woodland Hills or Costa Mesa CA.

The associate will partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to retain and grow large group Strategic Accounts.

Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Conducting meetings with group employees who have a choice of carriers and promote, sell, persuade and influence associates to enroll in Anthem products. Position will require semi-frequent travel (mainly driving).

* Leading presentations on service topics in annual and semi-annual meeting with clients and consultants.

* Trouble-shooting elevated member issues related to providers, benefits, claim payments to ensure all needs are being met for members, the client and the consultant.

* Completing analysis of data and making strategic recommendations to clients. Anticipate client needs and as needed, develop, design and implement process improvements or services that will streamline issues and improve member experience.

* Designing and execute client specific wellness plans.

* Direct and coordinate benefit design issues and modifications with internal operations team members in support of the client's benefit program

* Advises clients on developing and designing specific benefit plans that will best suit the client's needs.

* Sells, promotes, and influences companies or clients to add additional products or services to the existing account (up sell).

* Directs and coordinates benefit design issues and modifications with Operations and Membership Implementation staff in support of client needs.

* On an as needed basis, this position can act on behalf of the Account Executive or Account Manager team members in responding to client inquiries and issues.

This position can work in any Anthem office located in the following California cities: Rancho Cordova, Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Woodland Hills or Costa Mesa CA.

* Requires a BA/BS; 1-3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Desired, but not required, are candidates that have an insurance carrier operations background, or equivalent.

* Insurance license required.

* Selected applicant will have 30 days after hire date to obtain a sales license.
