The Bureau of Cannabis Control (Bureau) is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual that wants to work in a multi-tasking environment. The Bureau is a newly established program and responsible for creating the statutory framework for both medical and adult use commercial cannabis. The Bureau is the lead agency to coordinate this effort with other state agencies including Department of Food and Agriculture and Department of Public Health. The Bureau's primary mission is to protect the public and consumers which is carried out through various regulatory licensing, enforcement and disciplinary activities. FREE PARKING!

This position requires a Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM work schedule.

Special Requirements

* The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) - Title 11, Section 703(d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.
