Position Information

WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with over 300 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. WakeMed is a leader in cardiac and vascular care, women's and children's services, emergency medicine and trauma care, physical rehabilitation, orthopaedics and neurosciences.

We are currently seeking physicians with an interest and training in general surgery and trauma to join our group in Raleigh NC. Our team consists of 15 physicians, 16 Physician Assistants as well as resident support. We provide services at 5 offices throughout the region. Call is no more than 1 in 10 nights and is staffed with residents or physician assistants. Call coverage and clinical responsibilities will be shared among team members. With multiple locations throughout the area, our surgical teams provide a wide range of care and we have physicians who specialize in general surgery and trauma services as well as a wide range of surgical specialties. We offer the very latest in surgical procedures and technologies, including robotic surgery and minimally invasive techniques. Our specialties include breast care, bariatrics, gallbladder, hernia, colon as well as others. Must be fellowship trained and Board Certified or Board Eligible by an American Medical Specialty Board in general surgery and surgical critical care.
