Sell Benefit's full line of cosmetics and waxing/tinting services at the Belk Department Store counter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Goals of the Beauty Artist-
  • Achieve Benefit's retail sales objectives by taking positive initiative, following the ABCs of Selling, Service handoff and ensuring the customer gets the best customer service and shopping experience.
  • Be a team player and contribute to the success of the business by working with the team in supporting the direction of Counter Manager and Lead Sales Aesthetician/Aesthetician.
  • Standards of Performance-
  • Greet customers on the sales floor and traffic stop to introduce new customers to Benefit.
  • Utilize ABCs of selling- A launch, Brow, Core and Service to every customer.
  • Achieve personal SALES GOAL on a daily basis and contribute to the success of overall team by starting and finishing services.
  • Promote conversion by introducing services to each product-purchasing customer and introduce product to each service-purchasing customer.
  • Become familiar with each service and the different packages the brow bar offers.
  • Work the counter telephone to book future service appointments and confirm upcoming appointments.
  • Provide the best customer shopping experience possible through achieving sales productivity by focusing on linking multiple units per transaction.
  • Be on time and ready for work.
  • Get along well with co-workers, working as a “Team“ to achieve sales objectives.
  • Dress in a tastefully trendy manner and adhere to company dress code.
  • Maintain a very high quality of personal hygiene.
  • Follow store policy and procedures including use of cash register, offering the features and benefits of Belk credit cards, capturing an email address of each customer and anything else requested by Belk management.
  • Sales and Marketing Skills-
  • Sell merchandise through use of ABCs of selling.
  • Traffic stop when not with customers and spread brand awareness by creating a fun environment for customers and team.
  • Utilize brow mapping techniques to engage with customers and introduce brow products and services.
  • Effectively grow customer base by daily use of the client card system and service appointment book.
  • Promote Birthday Brow program by asking customers when their birthday is and put them in book for future complimentary brow service during the week of their birthday.
  • Assist Aestheticians in upgrading services by asking each service customer if they are getting the “duo“ (brow & tint or brow & facial waxing) and remind them of the $ savings and features of tinting/facial waxing.
  • Book future appointments for events, makeup lessons and services.
  • Plan and participate in regularly scheduled counter parties/events, including Belk store events.
  • Promote your brow bar location by asking each customer to share their experience on YELP and maintain a score of 4.0 or better.
  • Stock, Merchandising & State Board
  • Communicate your stock needs with focus on top pillar categories- Mascara, Primer, Brow and Face color.
  • Update and maintain counter to follow Benefit merchandising guidelines.
  • Ensure retailer and Benefit tester guidelines are followed at counter.
  • Ensure state board rules and regulations are met and perform self-audits with the Lead Sales Aesthetician or Aesthetician each month.
  • Administration- (as needed, depending on the location)
  • Daily, monthly and annual maintenance of the DBR and other reporting.
  • Meet with Belk store leadership 1x per week to check in.
  • Meet with Beauty Artist & Aesthetician team 1x per month to review results and collaborate on future events, promotional planning and training initiatives.
  • Staff Schedules- (as needed, depending on the location)
  • Communicate with Retail Account Manager to make certain schedule and staffing needs are met daily to achieve best possible sales coverage including Special Events, sick and vacation days.
