Security Specialist

This is a regular, full time 40 hour a week position with flexibility in the schedule depending on the needs of the department. This position reports directly to the Security Manager for Lighting in Racine WI.

The Security Specialist will assist the Security Manager in maintaining a high-level security posture by the following duties:

* Supervise the day to day security operations access control, terminations, equipment testing etc.

* Outlines and monitors contract security work schedule

* Reviews and updates security procedures as needed or (annually)

* Reviews security daily logs for accuracy and important security related information

* Supervises and reviews security equipment testing and documentation

* Supervise access control and badge programming

* Conducts quarterly and annual training for security officers and employees

* Supervises the Security awareness program Cree connect, new hire Orientation

* Assist Security Manager with investigation as needed

* Assist Security Manager with emergency operations plans as needed

* Assist in special events or any other duties assigned

Requirements

* 3-5 Years Security Supervisor Experience

* Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in criminal justice, Security, or another related field

* Associate Degree in combination with experience may be acceptable

* Must currently possess or within 1 year of employment earn an industry related professional certification CPP, PSP, etc. through ASIS or other industry related organization

* Must be familiar with Microsoft Office tools

* Must have Strong Project Management Skills and Experience
