The Quality Engineer will be responsible for internal manufacturing quality improvements, and provide Quality leadership for new product introductions. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing and updating quality procedures to support ISO 2015 requirements, and be the internal Quality audit system champion. Other responsibilities include supporting external customer & survey society audits as needed and driving corrective actions to meet & exceed customer requirements while enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Associate's degree with over 5+ years of experience, desired

* Understanding of ISO 2015 Quality management system standards.

* Proficient in problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA) with data analysis skills in Excel and Seven Basic tools of Quality.

* Ability to read drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.

* Attention to details and ability to interact cross functionally to resolve Quality issues.

* Continuous improvement mindset with systematic approach to improve processes.

* Ability to write Quality procedures in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

* MRB champion responsible for disposition of parts and resolving issues, working collaboratively with Quality Inspection, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design Engineering departments.

* Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of quality issues and champion the ECN process to ensure that product changes are implemented appropriately

* Participate in the new product stage gate process, working closely with Design Engineering, and Operations departments to provide Quality leadership.

* Develop and update Quality procedures and instructions to support ISO 2015 requirements

* Champion internal Quality audit system
