We are currently seeking a Logistics Analyst to join our team in Racine, WI. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and World Class Logistics (WCL) Material and Information Flow Design, Warehouse-Logistics Material Flow, Production Control and Logistics. In addition, you will lead, develop, support and implement lean enterprise/World Class Manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include:

Lead cross-functional teams focused on WCM projects within the NAFTA region. Provide training and facilitate the transfer of lean/WCM knowledge in order to trigger a self-sustainable improvement process at the plant level, within the logistics operations.

Manage advanced, major, and standard Kaizen projects in North American plants. This includes project selection, justification, planning, training, execution, and project reporting. Must be able to act quickly to lead, develop, and implement solutions in cooperation with plant Kaizen teams.

Work with suppliers, purchasing, inbound logistic team, warehouse team, and plant logistic engineers to design and implement the most cost effective packaging solutions.

Work with the local Plant Logistics team to define optimal and efficient layouts, processes, and flows - includes definition and design of logistics areas (warehouse areas, supermarkets, kitting and sequencing areas, line delivery).

Help to standardize plant scheduling & material planning processes. Lead teams in the creation and implementation of these standardized processes.

Drive process/ flow optimization (from supplier to line), develop mid- and long term plant logistics strategy (with Logistics Management).

Train Plant logistics team members on Lean practices/ WCM skills and knowledge.

Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions for logistics functions/ activities.

Evaluate process changes (actual and projected) in terms of logistics cost.

Prior to and during the product design/ engineering phases, evaluate the impact of product changes to logistics costs (in terms of process and inventory).

Define work-plans, timelines and deliverables and monitor project status including status reporting and manage issue resolution and escalation and ensure delivery of project targets for logistics improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Logistics Engineering; Supply Chain Management; or Business


Associates degree plus 3 or more years of lean manufacturing or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment


High School Diploma/GED plus 5 or more years of lean manufacturing/supply chain in a manufacturing environment

The ideal candidate will have:

Cost benefit analysis, finance, cost controls experience

Toyota Production System experience

Strong leadership/interpersonal skills

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and persuasion skills a must

Strong change management skills

Excellent organizational and management skills, self-starter with an ability to work in fast paced, team environment

Adept at utilizing MS Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio and Project
