You will serve as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG) of U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND.

Responsibilities

* Conduct cyber assessments based on direction, standard, procedures, available resources adn the operational priorities of the DCOS.

* Provide technical guidance in resolving cyber assessment findings and network attack related effects, engaging in an active partnership with various section.

* Develop continuously improving capabilities needed to provide cyber adversary attack replication.

* Respond to evolving technical conditions, detection and protection techniques and assists cyber assessment team during operations.

* Must be a US Citizen.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Assurance Technician (IAT) III certification within six months of employment.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analytical and evaluative duties related to Computer Administration, Network Administration, Cyberspace

Security, software development, or ethical hacking. Your experience must reflect skills in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
