HR Generalist

The People Generalist works in close partnership with the People Leader to manage, execute, and champion company initiatives around Talent and Culture.

Essential functions and job duties:

* Provide daily Human Resources and Employee Relations support in service of the business:

* On-Demand HR Support to all Watson Team members to answer questions on Watson policies, benefits, community resources, etc.

* Production Team Support – provide support and direction to Production Supervisors and Team Members on a wide variety of topics

* Assist and advise managers surrounding all people related issues.

* Act as champion and expert on Watson Team Handbook and company polices

* Full-time and temporary recruiting and onboarding:

* Recruiting – working in partnership with the People Leader and Hiring Managers to ensure fully vetted and qualified candidates are interviewed while being responsible for positive candidate experience.

* Temporary Recruiting – working closely with Production supervision to determine needs, hold and foster relationships with temporary agencies, and manage the requests using various tracking methods.

* Onboarding – Ensure positive candidate experience when hiring with proper onboarding. Initiate new ideas to promote engagement with new team members. Support Hiring Manager in training plan and team immersion.

* Project ownership and follow-through :

* Benefits administration – act as expert on Watson's benefits to provide information for team members and conduct healthcare enrollments.

* Oversee the quarterly performance review process to ensure all employees receive feedback during April, July, October and January of each calendar year.

* Provide coaching and access to external tools aimed at improving effectiveness of development discussions.

Experience:

* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional HR experience (experience with manufacturing company a plus)

* Demonstrated ability to leverage confidence, reasoning and problem solving to accomplish results

* Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels and build effective partnerships

* Proven ability to make fast decisions, independently, and with sound judgment
