Providence is calling a Program Coordinator - Cardiac Prevention and Wellness - Heart Wellness Center (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Saint Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR

We are seeking a Program Coordinator - Cardiac Prevention and Wellness - Heart Wellness Center that will be responsible for the coordination of multiple daily activities and events, as well as subsequent projects within the Cardiac Prevention Wellness Program, specifically occurring at all Basecamp locations, and within all virtual offerings. In collaboration with the Program Manager and Director of Cardiac Prevention and Wellness, PHVI program leadership, program steering committees and key stakeholders, the Coordinator 1) assists with implementing Cardiac Prevention and Wellness programming and events, 2) coordinates the daily operational efforts for the PROV Heart Clinic Basecamp (Outpatient Dietitian Clinic, Cardiovascular Performance Lab, Basecamp GPS Clinic and other activities, including performing as Scheduler and PRR for this MDC , 3) Serves as the coordinator and onsite contact for all clinic and community based Play Smart Youth Heart Screenings, including securing and organizing on-call staff and volunteers, local site contacts, supplies, data collection and input and correspondence to participants 4) provides onsite oversight for Basecamp greeter volunteers 5) serves as a liaison of CP W for visitors, educators, instructors and guests in the space and 6) maintains the community center environment, including exhibits and daily communications.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate various aspects of Cardiac Prevention and Wellness programming in order to ensure success of efforts including daily operations (for any in-person, on-site activity) as well as coordination with instructors on regularly scheduled CPW class offerings: weekly movement and relaxation classes, monthly nutrition classes (in-person as well as virtual). May take on duties for drafting Basecamp enewsletters some website duties as well
  • Coordinate all staffing and logistics for Play Smart Youth Heart Screening community program, including the full spectrum of communications to event planning and execution, to data entry and follow up communications (as the Play Smart operations outline). Events take place year-round and this is a primary function of the coordinator
  • Assist in project execution of key activities within the Cardiac Prevention Wellness Program, as well as event assistance and coordination for Providence Heart Institute as a whole
  • Perform cross functions of clinic operations at Providence Heart Clinic –Basecamp (Scheduler, PRR, checking voicemails, returning calls, etc.)
  • Provide daily oversight for non-Pathfinder volunteers in the Basecamp Community Center space (i.e., event volunteer support, daily Basecamp Greeters/Guest Hosts) when the space is functioning with in-person classes and events
  • May be the only CP W staff onsite during certain hours of operation. Acts as liaison for CP W for visitors, patients, guests and staff. Checks Basecamp voicemail and basecamp@providence.org emails daily and responds accordingly

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health care field or Communications -OR- four (4) years of health care program development experience
  • Demonstrated written communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills
  • Builds and manages effective teams
  • Demonstrated project management skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Four (4) years of Health care program development experience
