Certified Nursing Assistant 2- Medical Surgical

Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 - Medical Surgical (0.8 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

This position will work 4, 8 hour day shifts per week (working from 07:00 to 15:30) and will rotate every other weekend.

In this position, you will:

* Assist the registered nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

* Perform duties in a caring and respectful manner that promotes team functioning.

* Consistently uphold standards of confidentiality, punctuality and attendance.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) course, or "grandfathered" to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements

* Current, active certificate to practice as a CNA 2 in Oregon

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

* New onboarding caregivers must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* 1 year of experience as a CNA 2
