What you'll do on a typical day:

* Review daily, weekly, and monthly production volumes and work with several internal operations and support teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and other AR functions

* Audit AR Rates to customer to ensure accurate billing; monitor all audit functions daily and assign workload to avoid any past due

* Monitor and contribute to the organization's competitive edge by developing and executing best-in-class strategies

* Develop direct reports to increase the bench strength and flexibility of the team; ensure that employees receive appropriate training and resources to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently

* Handle all supervisory-level responsibilities for staff including performance reviews, employee development, hiring, firing, coaching, and counseling

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

* 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related department, including 2 or more years managing professional staff; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Oracle Financials

It'd be great if you also have:

* Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate and present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience

* Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities

* Strong time and project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize workloads

* Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results

* Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems in high-visibility, high-stress situations
