Accounts Payable Specialist

Otak is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist for our Portland office.

What you'll do:

* Manage the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions while ensuring invoices and expense reports are accurately recorded and paid in accordance with policies and procedures

* Sub-consultant vendor maintenance and processing invoices

* Prepare accounting related entries to registers or journals

* Perform general account analysis including reconciliations of transactional data

* Assist preparing and organizing documentation for external auditors

* Answer financial and accounting questions by researching and interpreting data

* Perform additional assignments as required

What you're good at:

* Positive attitude with a strong service orientation and a "can do" attitude

* Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities

* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid attention to detail

* Ability to think critically and employ problem-solving skills

* At least 1 year of experience in accounting or related field

* Ability to process a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy

* Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in Word and Excel

What you might have:

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline is preferred

* Knowledge of Deltek Vision or other ERP software a plus

* Knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment

* Prior experience processing high volumes of transactions
