Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Primary responsibility is to coordinate and report the activities of the General Administration Avangrid Department to the General Administration Avangrid Management Team. This role is essential to ensuring compliance with the Iberdrola General Administration Global model, and with Avangrid policies and procedures.

This role will report directly to the Supervisor of Avangrid Accounts Payable to ensure the accurateness,

efficiency and effectiveness of General Administration Avangrid activity meets or exceeds the Corporate Standard.

The scope of the position includes the following processes and volumes

  • f activity:

Provides analytical support for General Ledger activity related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Prepares accounting reports and Ad-hoc requests data request as needed. Also Internal and External Audit preparation

Remain current concerning new developments in the area of SAP system process and controls

Maintain General Administration SOX documentation and Controls

Follows accounting policies and refers technical recommendations and assistance to management and others

Reviews and maintains General Administration Networks functional procedures related to administration processes

Assists with Administration projects related to continuous improvement and other ad-hoc assignments as needed

As a member of the Avangrid General Administration team this position will support the Supervisors, Managers and Regional Manager of Avangrid Administration as required, driving delivery of the Administration objectives.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

Prepare detailed analytical reports, for General Ledger activity related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including preparation of detailed analysis, business cycle reporting and flux analysis. The information related to all tasks will be delivered in a timely manner performed with efficiency and accuracy providing Management ample for review previous to any internal or external deadlines. (P, 60%)

  • Prepare accounting reports and ad-hoc data request needed for internal and external audit and all other ad-hoc reports as required with accuracy and efficiency and timeliness and with ample opportunity for review by Management previous to any internal or external deadlines. (P, 20%)
  • Undertake and provide effective support in General Administration Avangrid functions regarding Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchase Administration. The information related to all tasks will be delivered in a timely manner performed with efficiency and accuracy providing Management ample for review previous to any internal or external deadlines. (P, 10%)
  • Ensure the observance of the policies, criteria and procedures established by Purchasing, Tax, Financial and Administration Departments, identifying discrepancies and proactively working to

improve alignment with the model beyond the purely transactional duties, to comply with the need for US Business Control/Management approval (P, 10%

Skills and Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.

Experience in understanding accounting principles, and Administrative control procedures, especially in areas related with accounts payable, accounts receivable SD and Purchase Administration Experience in payment concepts, SAP and MS Office
