Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic position provides continuous maintenance service for the entire facility. This individual must be able to identify safety concerns and immediately address these issues.

A proficient working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is required. This individual must have a working knowledge of PLCs and be knowledgable in factory automation and robotic systems. Must be highly self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. This individual must be able to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment dedicated to the processing of medical grade silicone. Must be able to report to work promptly on each scheduled day. Basic computer skills are required. Must be able to work well with others.

Essential Functions:

* Repair equipment and machinery per Work Order requests

* Identify and initiate corrective actions for safety issues.

* Perform preventative maintenance and close work orders.

* Manage inventory and order replacement of spare parts and supplies when needed.

* Continuous self-improvement through cross-training on unfamiliar equipment or processes.

* Work with computer maintenance management software (CMMS) to track time allocated and work performed.

* Two year associates degree in related field with 3 years of experience or 5 years in related manufacturing field.

* Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with supervisors and communicate directions while working well with others.

* Ability to multi-task in providing support to various departments within facility.

* Ability to work overtime if necessary.
