OverviewAtlantic Medical Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for an Orthopedic practice located in Wayne,NJResponsibilities

The Physician Assistant will work closely with and report to a fellowship trained Joint Reconstruction Specialist and Orthopedic Traumatologist.

The Physician Assistant will respond to the needs of the surgical attending in both the clinic/office environment as well as the OR. The position will involve working with the surgical attending in the office but also expect to have independent office hours as well.

PA must be comfortable working as a first assist in OR, previous experience not required but helpful. The position has the opportunity to learn and master teach operative skills.

The position will also function as a liaison between surgeon and patients as well as surgeon and hospital staff. Practice call responsibilities should be expected but little to no ER call responsibilities. At times rounding on post operative patients in hospital setting may be required

Qualifications

Education:

Completion of an approved Physician Assistant Program

BS Degree

MS Degree in Phsyician Assistant Studies

Required License:

A valid NJ PA-C License

Certifications:

AAPA Certified

Current BLS certification required

ACLS certification preferred

Related Experience:

Orthopedic experience as a Physician Assistant required
