Position Description Overview

Excellent Opportunity to Develop Your Career and Further Your Technical Skills An opportunity to join a Global End user technology team, supporting the Virtual Desktop and Citrix operations across North America and align to a global team. Working as part of a team of support members, your day may involve...

* Monitor and maintenance of the non-persistent VDI environment across North America and migrate existing persistent VDI environment to non-persistent across North America.

* Managing VMware ESXI server environment and life cycle (installation & patching).

* Managing Citrix XenApp environment and life cycle (Installation & Patching).

* Managing HPDM environment and lifecycle (Installation & Patching).

* Managing environment monitoring systems (vRealize or LWL Stratusphere).

* Managing life cycle of virtualized applications.

* Managing user profile with technologies like Profile unity and storage replication with peer sync.

* Developing, improving and expanding existing procedures, policies and business systems.

* Ensuring all end point systems are complaint to corporate set standards.

* Windows server administration.

Job Responsibilities

* Support end users with L3 issues as it relates to VDI and Citrix

* Contribute projects including the specification, design, and implementation phases.

* Provide root-cause analyses, options for resolution, and recommendations to technology problems.

* Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions

* Assist in the packaging software for teams which are onboarding to VDI, using VMware App Volumes or ThinApp.

* Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

* 6 years of relevant experience in IT

* VMWARE vsphere 5.5 , Horizon View 6.0 , ThinApp, Appstacks, LWL Profile Unity, Windows server 2008, 2012, Networking, Citrix Xenapp 7.0

* Hands on experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of ESXI servers and related software.

* Configure and roll-out new hardware and software deployments to meet the customer's timelines Provides remote, local and telephonic support across North America or Globally

* Knowledgeable with network troubleshooting & networking services, protocols & technologies (DNS, DHCP, Network routing, etc.)

* Self-motivated, willing to work in a 24/7 global environment without close supervision.

* Ability to lead a team of System Administrator
