Job Description Summary:

The OneHope Research and Development team designs products and programs that engage children and youth around the world with God’s Word. Within the RD team, the Program

Development Project Manager will coordinate and lead a global team of experts to develop

products and programs in print and digital form to bring God’s Word to Every Child. This

includes working alongside a team of globally-minded, cross-disciplinary experts to ensure that

products or programs developed are both relevant and Biblically accurate.

The Program Development Project Manager is also responsible for managing the budget,

contracts, and timeline of the projects they are managing and communicate regularly with their

work groups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Has a courteous, Christ-like attitude
  • Works well both independently and with a team to coordinate the development of new

products and programs (books, curriculum, digital programs, etc.)

  • Facilitates the design process of new ministry programs and products. Tasks include:
    • Leading workgroups and meetings
    • Leading design sessions using design thinking methodologies
    • Providing direction and overseeing contractors including copywriters, designers, illustrators, typesetters, editors, theologians, and others as the project requires
    • Reviewing and editing content throughout the entire development process
    • Guiding the product’s design direction for effective engagement with the target audience
    • Managing project timelines, contract agreements, and budgets
  • Assists with planning meetings, processing invoices, maintaining product updates in an internal database, and completing reports when necessary
  • Ministers to OneHope’s donor partners
  • Travels domestically and internationally to meet with partners and/or field team members, lead design sessions, and facilitate focus groups when beneficial

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in relevant content creation and design for children and youth
  • Superior English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate well within diverse cultural demographics
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously and effectively
  • Capable of creating processes for efficiency in workflow
  • Ability to work in a complex, innovative, and rapidly changing environment
  • A team player who is detail oriented and excellent in problem solving
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, DropBox, and Google Drive; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Basecamp preferred
  • Integrity and commitment to the mission and vision of OneHope

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Background in design, writing, communications, children or youth ministry, education, or theology preferred
  • Experience in missions and outreach, mentoring, coaching, and/or teaching children and/or youth preferred
  • Experience in project management preferred
