Overview

BAI is seeking a Test Engineer to work in a government software laboratory environment. Primary focus is the integration testing of multiple related products in preparation for final operational testing. Position may require ability to configure communications involving other government laboratories. Position includes installing and testing hardware and software products and the development of associated documentation - test plans, reports, software trouble reports, etc.

Responsibilities

This position requires the understanding, knowledge and experience researching, coordinating, and testing software products. Test activities support multiple variations of a product line, and other associated software products. The Candidate shall be responsible for:

* Generating test plans, test reports, deficiency reports, and interim summary reports in accordance Navy policy and guidance

* Evaluating requirements for testability, applicability, and test point development

* Development and execution of tests in accordance with approved test plans

* Analysis of anomalies and providing recommendations

* Documenting anomalies as System Anomaly Reports (SARs)

* Analysis of resulting data against the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) to ensure system performance meets the threshold/objective values

* Participation in document reviews

* Generation of briefs to conduct T&E milestone reviews such as Working Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) and Test Team Review Boards (TTRBs),

* Be able to participate at briefs by speaking to the audience on the subject matter

* Review and update the Integrated Government Schedule (IGS) to ensure accurate test dates and timely milestone completion dates.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience performing duties in the Responsibilities section. Minimum 5 years experience as a naval aviator. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, physical science, mathematics or computer science from an accredited institution. Eight additional years of applicable and relevant experience may be substituted for degree.

Security Clearance: Condition of employment - must be able to acquire and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Existing SSBI or TS preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Citizenship: Must have US citizenship
