Job Description

We are looking for a Senior People Pro (Sr HRM) to join our People & Purpose team in our Pleasanton, CA based HQ. As a Senior People Pro, you are a trusted, interactive cultural champion, a strong relationship builder, and a guide to both employees and managers as they innovate, scale, and grow. You will consult with managers, Senior Managers, and Directors on workforce management, employee relations, and the implementation of Workday's people strategy. This role requires strong attention to detail as it drives timely, accurate transactions and follows through on employee and manager commitments.

This role also works within a collaborative HR ecosystem of peers as you support Workday's G&A functions.

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform a key role within the People & Purpose team: coaching managers within the G&A functions.

* Advise managers on Employee Relations (ER) issues to ensure consistent application of policies and practices; in some cases, the People Pro will own investigations.

* Perform data analysis & compilation of reports to enrich leaders' insights into their orgs.

* Be an expert in the Workday system which will include input, maintenance, and security of employee data (promotions, transfers, etc.)

* Be a steward of Workday's culture by developing positive employee relationships and helping to foster a climate of high performance, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication.

Required Experience and Preferences:

* Masters Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and 3 years HRM/Generalist experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and 5 years HRM/Generalist experience.

* Experience coaching managers on employee relations, recruiting, engagement, employee experience, & policy interpretation.

* Strong service orientation with a consultative approach.

* Experience working and interacting with different levels of employees and managers in various capacities.

* Outstanding attention-to-detail and accuracy.

* Experience in a fast pace software company preferred.
