MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:• Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school, plus 48 semester units post high school or possession of an Associate of Arts degree or higher.• Sufficient training and/or experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities required of the position.• Valid California Driver's License.IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.•Ability to operate a computer and specialized software.•Ability to learn methods, materials, equipment and techniques used in Braille.•Prior experience working with visually impaired students.QUESTIONS INCLUDED IN ONLINE APPLICATION:1.Please describe how your experience and/or education have prepared you for this position.2.Please describe your experience working with visually impaired students and/or educational materials used for visually impaired students.*Skills Testing may be required as a part of the recruitment process.

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist the Braillist in the preparation of a variety of instructional materials into appropriate media for visually impaired students. Perform duties related to the support of the Braille Center.
