Professional Services Global Strategy and Practice Leader

Our Professional Services Strategy and Practice Leader works alongside the Global Services leaders to ensure our Services offerings are aligned with our customer needs and our product roadmap. You will be responsible for leading the Service Practices at Splunk which include: Security, IToPs, UBA, Splunk Enterprise and Architecture. Our practice leaders are responsible for collaborating with our product groups and aligning service offerings with product to provide a complete solution to our customers. You will ensure our Service business aligns with our Corporate Strategy and product roadmap. In this critical role, you will work cross-functionally to ensure Services are aligned and delivering on promises to customers across each of our vertical strategies.

Responsibilities:

* Become an integral part of our Splunk Professional Services leadership team

* Drive the development of Splunk's Service Offerings

* Work closely with Partners to craft their own complimentary offerings

* Define processes and procedures for developing economies of scale across our business

* Build our global delivery capacity around the systematic implementation of Splunk's Portfolio

* Lead the effort to create trainings, manuals, guides and other enablement material to ensure scalable success

* Sit alongside Splunk software engineering and pre-sales teams to ensure a seamless experience for our valued customers

* Work directly with customers in the specialty delivery area

* Mentor consultants, including partner consultants

* Provide recommendations to leadership on resourcing, direction, and technical development for the Global practices

* Shape customer expectations and thoroughly align outcomes with customer requirements while focusing on business value

* Lead a team of Splunkers in achieving the aforementioned goals

* Work as a cohesive unit with the Global PS Services team

* Provide strategic vision and roadmap for direction that Splunk Services should be heading over the next 1-3 years

* Influence others to achieve and exceed their performance goals

* Collaborate with the entire Splunk Corporate team to realize the Service's Strategy

Requirements:

* 10+ years of software consulting experience, delivering solutions to customers globally

* Firm understanding of Service Business priorities and practices

* Experience with Services Solution Development

* You should thrive on building Service Practices for a Software Company or equivalent experience building a technical workforce

* Comfortable leading change, developing processes, implementing procedures and working collaboratively across the organization to achieve desired outcomes

* Previous experience providing Strategic Mentorship for a Global Business Unit

* Although this role is strategic in nature, you should not be afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done

* You have previous experience leading technical experts including subordinate supervisors

* Ability to work across the organization in a positive and effective manner

* Deep understanding of software solutions, log aggregation and machine data integration

* History of developing service practice materials, to include deployment guides, troubleshooting manuals, standard methodologies, consultant training, and other customer enabling documentation

* Strong focus on customer success and delivery excellence

* Willing to work as part of a diverse team, taking mentorship from multiple partners to achieve organizational outcomes

Education:

* BA/BS preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or equivalent work experience
