Purpose Statement: Under the direction of the Special Services Executive Director, or designee, the Special Education Teacher will be responsible for facilitating Special Education student success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living through implementing approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.The student population for this position will be young adults.Education:~ BA degree~ Valid CA Education Specialist credential ~ Moderate/Severe authorization~ EL authorizationExperience:~ One year in related teaching assignment~ Work with students with severe handicaps preferredTo be considered, the following documents must accompany a complete application:

* Copy of Transcript

* Letter of Introduction

* Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 current letters - within 2 years)

* Resume

* Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Moderate/Severe (EL authorization)
