Director, Product Management %26 Alliances

OBJECTIVES:

The Director of Product Management & Alliances is responsible for product strategy in Industrial Scientific's instrumentation and services business unit. This role will define product and partnership strategies to drive growth and improve the safety and productivity of industrial workers. This person will lead a team of product managers focused on introducing and managing innovative new connected worker solutions, understanding and prioritizing customer requirements, defining the solution vision, and fostering business and technology partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Analyzes market trends, segments, potential customers, competitors, and customer needs to determine suitability for new instrumentation and service solutions

* Ongoing development of the product strategy and roadmap; synthesize ideas on strategy, planning, and execution of next generation of products while balancing enhancements and quality improvements of current products based on business and customer impact

* Manages the entire product lifecycle process from strategic planning to product sunset

* Identifies, pursues, negotiates, and manages new solutions, technologies, and business partnerships to drive accelerated growth

* Manages and develops the instrumentation product management team

* Acts as a product category champion to build awareness and understanding of current solutions within selling channels and markets

* Identifies and makes obsolete end-of-life product offerings

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (Non-Negotiable):

* Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience

* Ten or more years of product management experience

* Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

* Proven ability to build mutually beneficial business and technology partnerships

* Familiar with product management concepts, practices, and processes

* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

* Proven leadership and decision-making ability

* Ability to travel globally (10-20%)

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED (Negotiable):

* MBA (desirable)

* Knowledgeable in the industrial safety products market

* Experiencing product managing the development of industrial electro-mechanical products and IoT devices
