Director, Compensation and Benefits

* Leads the development of the total rewards philosophy and framework encompassing all aspects of total compensation, retirement and health and welfare programs.Partners with key stakeholders across the organization.

* Develops and continually advances compensation and benefits programs to align with business strategy and ensures the right mix and offerings are available to attract, retain and motivate an innovative, high-quality workforce.

* Leads the design and development of the company's broad-based wage and salary programs and structures including competitive short- and long-term incentives plan for executives, management, and other employees at all levels.

* Leads the development of the organization's annual process for merit, pay structure and cash/stock incentive compensation planning.Partners with HR Team on delivery of the annual merit process.

* Partners with external consultants to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors including equity recommendations, benefits and compensation programs, market competitiveness reviews, regulatory changes and CD&A requirements.Participates in meetings when necessary.

* Partners with key stakeholders in the development of proxy materials, equity, annual incentive plans and compensation salary ranges.

* Designs, implements and routinely assesses the company's benefits competitiveness relative to market and ensures program compliance with stated policies and Federal, state and local regulations.

* Manages strategic vendors, aligning vendor offerings with company strategy, cost management and analysis of overall program impact.

* Leads and participates in due diligence reviews of compensation and benefits plans in pre-deal phase and develops total compensation and rewards integration strategy to support mergers and acquisitions (as required).

* Provides continual education to the HR team on the total rewards philosophy, strategy and programs in support of the HRBP service delivery model.

* Educates HR Teammates and leaders on compensation philosophy, strategy and programs, providing consistent standardized frameworks, policies and procedures implemented by the HRBP Team.

* Directs the preparation of communication materials such as program announcement materials, plan booklets, Summary Plan descriptions, Summary of Material Modifications, 5500s, Summary Annual Reports, Incentive Plan materials and other media for communicating new plans.Partners with Communications function.

* Ensures compliance with provisions of state and federal governmental regulations such as OFCCP, FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, IRS/SEC etc.Reviews and analyzes changes to state, federal, and international laws pertaining to compensation and benefits, and provides necessary or suggested changes to management.

* Responsible for the relationship with the third-party vendor for stock plan administration services.Prepares Section 16 filings and current holdings summaries for executives and non-employee directors.Oversees the processing of new grants as well as varied transactions with strong know-how of accounting, legal and tax implications.Administer annual and quarterly award grants and employee enrollments in stock plan administration system.Responds to all executive plus employee queries pertinent to company stock plans.Ensures that all stated equity processes are followed and the data is accurate.Coordinates required audits, reconciliations, data edits and complex calculations.

* Leads a team of Compensation and Benefits professionals.Ensures team has a thorough understanding of the business to address complex needs.Trains, mentors and empowers the team to develop the necessary subject matter expertise to excel in Centers of Excellence service delivery model.

* Leads all aspects of payroll processing in accordance with policy, state and federal requirements.Ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.Calculates, verifies and deposits federal and state taxes by required dates; prepares for signature and files federal, state and other agency mandated reports in a timely manner; ensures payroll database reflects current and accurate information; verifies and inputs data changes.Maintains payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages due, accruals, deductions and other payroll functions; calculates and performs adjustments, special pay, retroactive payments and overpayment of wages; documents adjustments in the accounting program, spreadsheets, federal, state and other payroll required reports to ensure payroll is accurate and complete.

Education/Experience

* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA preferred

* 10+ years of professional Total Compensation, Benefits and/or HR experience

* 7+ years of leadership responsibility of similar scope

* Experience working with, and presenting to, senior management and/or the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
