Total Rewards Specialist II (623-493)

Position Summary: Develops, designs, communicates, and administers all aspects of employee compensation, benefits and wellness programs optimizing the organization's ability to attract and retain exceptional employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Conducts external market research and analysis to ensure company's total rewards package is competitive.

* Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

* Ensures incumbents are paid accordingly, and ensure job offers are appropriate to attract and retain key talent.

* Provides proactive, ongoing communication of total rewards program effectively within the organization.

* Conducts review of total rewards program to ensure effectiveness of driving employee performance, as well as compliance with all state and federal regulations, including job analysis within the FLSA framework.

* Acts as liaison to vendors to provide ongoing adherence to company's SLAs. Contact person for benefit vendors, as well as point person on all negotiations needed during annual review of benefit offerings.

* Provides excellent customer service to employees, answering questions and ensuring timely problem resolution.

* Partners with departments/employees to develop accurate job descriptions.

* Administers all aspects of merit, incentive, wellness and performance management programs.

* Facilitates annual open enrollment process, including coordinating with vendors, communicating with employees, and handling all paperwork and

* Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing. Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records, staff actions, separation reports

* Handles all employee leave of absence occurrences, including short/long term disability claims, reasonable accommodations, and return to work issues.

* Conducts ongoing review of HR processes, policies, and systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as for clarity and reflection of Make-A-Wish philosophy.

* Handles all audits and mandatory reporting to demonstrate all programs and policies are compliant.

* Provides oversight for all Human Resources records and files, including confidential personnel files and records, purges files in accordance with federal and state regulations.

* Performs other related job duties, as assigned.

* Ensures HR data integrity by monitoring and auditing the accuracy of transactions, interfaces, and data entry.

* Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries. Develops and runs standard reports as well as ad hoc reports for ongoing customer needs.

Required Skills

Knowledge and Abilities:

* Strong understanding of Payroll, HR and Benefit data and processes.

* Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools.

* Strong understand of total compensation market analysis.

* Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Access, Project, Word and PowerPoint.

* ADP Workforce Now highly preferred

* Effective organizational interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.

* Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.

Required Experience

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field required.

* 2 – 4 years of experience in Total Rewards & benefit administration required.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, including demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel.

* Minimum 1 year demonstrated compensation and benefits required.

* Knowledge and experience in HR database systems required; ADP experience preferred.

* Working knowledge of nonprofit organizations is helpful.

Working Conditions:

* Work in an office environment.

* Some travel required.

* May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.
