Major Responsibilities

* Provide support and category expertise in support of our Strategic Account selling team and our customers to maximize category growth with our Strategic Account base.

* Investigate and initiate solutions for opportunities to grow sales and profits.

* Provide category input regarding specific distributor incentive programs and pricing opportunities. Assist in the execution of those opportunities.

* Make reseller sales calls with the Directors and SAM's or independently to advance the growth of the category within our customer base.

* Foster strong working relationships between USI sellers, SA sales team, technology and furniture manufacturer reps/rep groups, merchandising team and customers.

* Develop initiatives to accelerate top line revenue growth in conjunction with the category team strategy to increase distributor growth and penetration in the technology and furniture categories.

* Develop metrics for tracking results of initiatives to determine their effectiveness in driving sales/enhancing margins and to identify additional improvement opportunities.

* Assist Directors and Strategic Account Managers in customer category product start-ups and conversion opportunities, thereby maximizing the category sales growth and margin improvement.

* Assist sales managers with customer conversion presentations and launch opportunities.

* Work with key departments within the USI organization (Marketing, Pricing, Merchandising, etc.) to create marketing pieces, selling tools, pricing, etc. needed to launch and grow these categories.

* Coordinate market based pricing to allow for incremental business opportunities while maintaining category EBIT objectives.

* Coordinate category education of Strategic Account resellers to maximize these categories top line revenue growth and control costs.

* Work with the regional and national UDT team to maximize dealer learning opportunities.

* Coordinate activities with the other Strategic Account BDM's to maximize our customer engagements and create synergies in our broader selling efforts.

* Acts as a liaison between our customers and USI and the USI sales teams to increase top line Technology and Furniture category sales and maximize margin.

* Works in conjunction with BDM, Strategic Accounts to develop and implement promotional plans to increase sales. Promotional plans may include spiffs, rebates, and other sales-related initiatives.

* Coordinate category reviews with merchandise team, work with the BDM,Strategic Accounts, Director or SAM to present to customer

* Performs catalog/E-comm reviews and gap analysis to enhance product assortment.

* Performs other duties as needed or as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required

* Ability to initiate a specific project, gather and analyze data, provide suggestions and recommendations to bring project to completion.

* Good strategic, analytical, planning, organizing and problem solving capabilities.

* Ability to understand and interpret some financial data.

* Capacity for creative thinking in negotiating or problem-solving atmosphere.

* Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of self-confidence and professionalism.

* Travel - 50%-60%.

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree required.

* Minimum of five years of experience in the Technology, Furniture or affiliated industry (distributor or wholesaler).
