What We Need

We are seeking a resourceful, reliable Desktop Support Engineer for a 6 month contract (possibly longer) to help manage the technology needs of the employee base in our Phoenix and San Francisco offices. You will need to have experience supporting both Windows and Mac clients from a software installation, technical support and troubleshooting perspective. The Desktop Support Engineer will work as a part of the tightly knit Corporate IT team to ensure that all employees have the best possible experience with the technology they use in their daily work lives. Above all other factors, we are looking for smart, driven candidates who want to be part of a culture of innovation and creativity as we develop and define the peer-to-peer lending market.

What You Will Do

* Work on support tickets assigned from the Jira Help Desk Ticketing System.

* Update the system with work performed and problem resolution.

* Re-assign and escalate tickets to the appropriate personnel when necessary.

* Assist employees with typical office computing issues, including Wi-Fi access and general laptop troubleshooting.

* Support virtual desktops in our Horizon VDI environment, and provision new VDI desktops to end-users when required.

* Support remote users via phone, Slack and remote assist.

* Image / provision laptops and assign access to systems for new employees, ensure that all machines are properly configured for employee first use.

* Maintain inventory of assets in our Kace asset management software.

* Install software updates and security patches on client computers when required.

* Assist other team members in troubleshooting and repairing failures in office infrastructure such as VOIP phones, printers, projectors, TV displays, wireless networks, etc.

* Provide A/V and conference call support for company and departmental meetings

* Work with managers in helping to maintain their department-specific software needs.

What You Will Need To Have

* 3 or more years of relevant experience in supporting medium-sized enterprises.

* Experience supporting major desktop platforms (Windows and OSX) and fundamental employee computing needs.

* Understanding of Active Directory objects and policies for management of users and computers.

* Direct experience the Microsoft O365 Suite.

* The ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly.

* Amazing interpersonal skills, be patient and friendly while identifying and supporting the needs of end-users.

* Experience with updating an IT asset management system for keeping an up to date inventory of all IT assets and their location.

* The ability to identify, develop and implement processes and policies to improve efficiency in handling support issues.

* The ability to be a strong team player.

* The ability to work different shifts and schedules, including occasional on call after hours support.

* Experience with VMware Horizon, Okta, Slack, Jira, Symantec Endpoint, Box, etc. a major plus.
