This position can be based out of any of our locations in PA or NJ.

SUMMARY OF JOB:

This position will lead the Home Care and Hospice division in the development and execution of growth strategy planning. In collaboration with SVP/CAO and division leadership, the VP of Business Development will build relationships with area providers, insurers and others to support market specific and divisional growth and identify opportunities for program development or enhancements. Position will supervise and develop the Customer Service and Consumer Relations Division including Marketing, Sales, Referral Center and Home Care Coordinators in the planning, organizing, and directing of referral and admission services in accordance with current standards and regulations so that the highest degree of quality care can be maintained at all times. Oversees weekday, weekend and after hours staff.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Health Sciences related field preferred. Graduate degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a homecare or hospice setting preferred.
  • Three years sales management experience preferred with demonstrated success
  • Must have the clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide coordination of patient care consistent with standards and regulations
  • must have exceptional interpersonal and customer services skills
  • must be able to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult the medical director
  • Management and leadership skills needed include, team building, communication, budget administration, coaching/mentoring others negotiation, and conflict management
  • Must have excellent organizational and management skills to handle multiple level complex patient care issues
  • Requires the ability to be a strong and consistent mentor to staff and use the performance improvement process appropriately.
  • Must have knowledge of current admission criteria, Medicare, Medicaid, State and Federal regulations, a comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, risk management as applicable to the population served.
  • Possesses the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff members, physicians, patients and their families; flexibility and independence required to work competently and autonomously
  • Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities and have excellent telephone, interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong commitment to teamwork and customer service, both internally and externally, is required. Must have strong/proven general computer skills.
  • Able to function in a rapidly changing health care system which may necessitate flexible working hours, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, with holidays and weekends included.
