* You will develop and execute integrated communication plans to build awareness and support for policy decisions and agency initiatives.

* You will identify communication needs, develop and produce a wide range of tailored informational products, and evaluate the effectiveness of communications plans and programs.

* You will develop and execute media and community relations programs, stakeholder communication plans and programs, and the organization's internal and external communication engagements.

* You will recommend policies, programs, services, and procedures governing the dissemination of information to internal stakeholders (executives, managers, employees).

* You will work on all phases of communications plan execution including delivery, measurement, reporting, and results.

* You will assist in the development of plans by considering such items as specific topics or aspects to emphasize the most effective media to use in communicating with intended audiences.

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience administering, supervising or performing work involved in establishing and maintaining mutual communication between Federal agencies and the general public including internal or external audiences and identifying communication needs and developing informational materials that inform appropriate publics of the agency's policies, programs, services and activities at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Researching, developing, and implementing comprehensive strategic communication plans; 2) Assisting with routine public affairs functions such as: setting up interviews with various media outlets, writing stories for publications, and fielding external requests; 3) Performing duties to clear information for public release and overseeing completion of various media projects; 4) Communicating effectively using both written and oral techniques to aid in preparing speeches, multi-media presentations, script writing and testimony for delivery by higher officials.

Education Requirements:

* Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, OR

* 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR

* LL.B. or J.D., if related, OR

* A combination of education and experience
