Our direct client is seeking a Software Project Manager for direct hire in their Philadelphia PA location.   Qualified candidates apply online and you will receive a follow up call.


Local candidates preferred near the greater Philadelphia area.  The interview process is a first-round phone interview and if selected for final round interview, candidate MUST commit to in-person onsite interview at Philadelphia office.    If you cannot travel to the final round interview, they will not consider you for this opportunity.  

Project Manager will be part of the software development team and will be responsible for managing software development projects and development teams and should be highly skilled in using structured methodologies in implementing software applications.


Experience Requirements

  • Ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of project management experience and possess a solid understanding of project management methodologies, processes and best practices; knowledge of the insurance vertical and its rating and policy administration solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, Information Technology, or related field

  • Property & Casualty insurance space preferred but not required

  • PMP certification or active candidate; CAPM considered

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle processes required

  • Ability to successfully lead a team

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience in people management, risk management and change management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, Visio and SharePoint

  • Analytical, organizational and problem solving skills a must

  • Strong leadership skills and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong working knowledge and execution of the SDLC process

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead planning and implementation of projects (Initiation through Closure)

  • Serve as the main point of contact during all project phases

  • Facilitate definition of project scope, goals, deliverables and project meetings – internal and external

  • Develop, maintain and control project schedules, budgets, resource allocation

  • Provide direction and support for to project team

  • Effectively prepare for and address project issues, risks and/or changes that may arise

  • Generate project measurement reporting for management and stakeholders

  • Ensure projects meet established goals, objectives, and company standards

  • Ensure conformance to company quality standards

  • Project evaluations and assessments of results
