Director of MR Fusion - Full Time
Job Summary:
The Director of MR Fusion will lead the national team of MR Fusion technologists in the performance of prostate biopsies. The individual will be responsible for training and orientation of new technologists, support of technologists in the field and assistance with completion and scheduling of procedures. The Director will be responsible for facilitating and validating completion of annual competencies, performance management and annual performance reviews. The MR Fusion Director must be experienced with working with physicians, operating room staff, and have thorough knowledge of equipment functions and male urologic anatomy.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Management of MR Fusion Technologists
- Participate in recruiting, hiring and training of qualified MR Fusion Technologist
- Completing initial and annual performance and competency evaluations
- Provide training to physicians and facilities on proper/safe use of equipment and software
- Support Sales team on marketing program to include participating in demonstrations and traveling to various states and sites to promote service model
- Ability to deliver, set-up, and assist urologist in performing cases if needed for coverage or market expansion support
- Operate a company vehicle and be able to load, offload, and transport equipment safely and effectively
- Participate in QA/QI committee and assist with policy and procedure enhancement and development
- Act as subject matter expert on software, cloud, and all technology associated with MR Fusion program
- Participate in IT and technical assessments to assist facilities with evaluations
- Participate in management meetings
- Communicate effectively with scheduling department
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years’ management/supervisory experience in a health care setting
- 4 to 6 years’ experience performing urologic ultrasound/prostate imaging
- 4 to 6 years’ experience with assisting urologists in an operating room environment with clinical procedures. Prostate biopsy experience preferred.
- Associate degree from an accredited allied health program
- Radiology Technologist of Sonographer preferred
