The Clinical Informatics Specialist is a clinician responsible for providing both direct classroom education as well as at the elbow end user support to ensure the efficient and accurate adoption of clinical informatics tools in the care environment. . This role includes identifying process improvements, aligning with the MLH strategic plan, initiating change in conjunction with the Clinical Environment Workgroups, Service line Leadership and Epic application analysts. The Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as a consultant to work collaboratively with all disciplines at all MLH and MLHC facilities to optimize delivery and documentation of quality patient care.

Education: 1. Bachelors degree or ability to obtain it within 3 years. Epic experience preferred. 2. Experience with clinical documentation systems and/or experience in Clinical Informatics preferred. 3. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English to sufficiently perform job duties. Licensures & Certifications: Licensure in related field (Nursing, Physical Therapy etc.) Certification in Informatics (preferred) Credentialed Trainer Certification after hire

Experience: Minimum of three years related healthcare experience required. Demonstrates knowledge of teaching and management principles. Demonstrates knowledge of Regulatory issues impacting Clinical Informatics Demonstrates knowledge of Office Management software: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
