Description

The Manager of Revenue Cycle for Home Care maintains the various systems and processes needed to insure that revenue generated by the relevant division is properly supported, coded and released for billing. This includes designing and implementing of processes, procedures, and control systems to protect the integrity of the revenue cycle. Manages efforts to insure the accurate and timely recognition of revenue, including delivery confirmation and collaborates with Quality Assurance and Compliance staff. Oversees staff responsible for gathering appropriate medical necessity documentation for initial and continuing services, in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, federal and payers.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance business administration or related field

2 years experience in a revenue cycle functions of intake, charge capture, and/or patient accounts

Expert-level knowledge of patient qualification criteria for coverage of services based on payer requirements; attains expert-level knowledge of utilization review guidelines, including medical necessity and authorization processes of third party payers

Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Federal and State Compliance and OIG initiatives that impact the healthcare industry.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to communicate effectively by telephone and in writing with patients, clinicians, referral sources, home care staff, physician offices, payers, regulatory bodies, revenue cycle vendors and OSF leadership and administration.

Analytical ability to complete high-level problem-solving, develop and provide direction in the implementation of short and long-term departmental goals; provide administrative direction to personnel in the resolution of problems or difficult tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1 year in a supervisory role

RHIA, RHIT or Coding Certification

Experience in CPR+, Brightree, and/or Epic
