BELFOR is looking for qualified candidates for the following position. BELFOR team members are a unique breed, committed to restoring not only property, but restoring lives for those affected by disasters, large or small.

This position is responsible to provide operational support in remediation efforts for clients. Qualified candidates will be responsible to perform basic level tasks relative to dry and pre-cleaning damage structures using accepted BELFOR Processes and meeting BELFOR standards. Candidates must be able to supervise small crews of unskilled laborers. Must be able to build containment structures, and manipulate contents. This position is the level 1 in the Progressive Fire Damage track, responsible for all New Hire Training, and will advance to Fire Damage Specialist -- Basic upon completion of New Hire Training.

Responsibilities

* Following instruction and working well under supervision

* Coordinate a small crew of unskilled laborers and keep them on task and working towards a defined objective

* Become familiar with all industry standard odor and smoke removal techniques

* Be familiar with and able to perform all industry standard structure cleaning processes

* Safely remove debris from affected structure/property without damaging un-affected areas of the property while maintaining a clean and safe jobsite

* Aid in the installation and maintenance of the containments

* Demonstrate ability to answer simple questions related to the project or defer to more experienced member of the team.

* Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition

* Must maintain attention to detail

* Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property

* Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices

* Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines

* Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested and travel periodically

* Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately

* Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required

* Supervision of unskilled labor on residential and light commercial projects

* Dry and wet pre-cleaning and cleaning under supervision

* Remove debris under supervision

* Contents manipulation under supervision

* Containment under supervision

* Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks

* Additional other duties as required
