Referral Coordinator (Payson, AZ)

We are looking for an individual who wants to work in a positive and compassionate atmosphere. This person will enjoy assisting patients and coordinating their healthcare. We require this person have attention to detail and solid follow up practices!

Under the supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, this position works with the medical staff to coordinate patient referrals for services not provided at North Country HealthCare (NCHC). This position provides a variety of clerical and general office support duties to facilitate the smooth flow of patients.

Duties:

* Coordinates referral to external medical providers.

* Obtains authorizations from various insurance companies according to their plan requirements.

* Tracking and following to close the loop making sure patients have seen referred provider.

* Maintains documentation and logs of patient referrals.

* Communicates status of patient referrals to the medical staff and the patient.

* Provides backup for clerical and or medical staff as needed.

* Participates in meetings as required.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* High school diploma

* 12 to 18 months prior related experience

* Medical terminology

* HIPAA

* Phone based work

* Referrals

* Medical records

* Medical insurance

* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Pay Amount:

$14.80/HR +DOE
