You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/INFOSEC) in the Information Technology/Information Management (IT/IM) Applications Integration & Business Intelligence Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position serves as the IT/IM Department's Team Lead for assigned IT database projects and resources.

* You will advise reporting seniors on how to support the acquisition and/or evolutionary enhancement of assigned elements of the Command's IT infrastructure.

* You will maintain liaison with user community representatives to keep abreast of and anticipate current and projected IT operational requirements, objectives and priorities.

* You will lead team members in broad based systems analyses, which encompass assessment of the business processes to be automated as well as technology solutions.

* You will lead the development of comprehensive and integrated project plans, budgets and schedules.

* You will collaborate with contracting personnel to define and document requirements for and procure hardware, software and technical services.

* You will provide technical oversight and guidance to team members throughout the system acquisition and implementation life cycle.

* You will monitor and conduct comprehensive evaluation of all project elements to ensure achievement of technical and performance objectives, that budgets/schedules are met, and to highlight areas requiring attention or corrective action.

* You will collaborate with team leads/product leads for interfacing or existing IT applications and with customer community representatives to plan for IT system installation and implementation.

* You will define and document requirements, plans and priorities for in-service support and administration of fielded IT infrastructure assets.

* You will ensure team work efforts and work products are responsive to customer requirements, and are completed on time and in accordance with quality standards.

* This position requires that the selectee meet the requirements of the DOD Manual 8570.01, Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certifications within 6 months of employment.


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) making recommendations for the establishment of new initiatives or the revision of existing database systems and resources to address current and projected customer requirements; 2) assessing business processes to be automated and providing technical solutions on how business processes should be structured; 3) identifying system design concepts and Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products that can be adapted into the current database infrastructure; 4) preparing project planning documents such as Operational Requirements Document (ORD), Requirements Management Agreement (RMA), Project Management Plan (PMP), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M); and, 5) leading a team of database administrators in meeting project deadlines and milestones and providing technical oversight and guidance throughout the system acquisition and implementation life cycle. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
