We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual who will administer our compensation & benefit programs. This position will be based in our Pasadena, CA office. The incumbent must be a self-starter who possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, has the ability to meet deadlines, demonstrate strong leadership, and uses sound judgment skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Overall administration for all defined benefit, defined contribution plans (including but not limited to: 401(k) & profit sharing plans, cash balance pension plan, deferred compensation plans, etc.) and health and welfare benefits

* Responsible for overall compensation administration including but not limited to: annual merit increase planning, bonus and incentive plan administration, preparing and processing annual salary worksheets, coordinating with the Talent Management & Operations Team and senior management on changes and recommendations, working with Payroll to manage the payroll data entry/interface, preparing compensation communication/letters/total compensation statements, compensation packages, salary charts, etc. Also responsible for off-cycle compensation changes (including but not limited to: conducting FLSA analysis, compensation recommendations, preparing appropriate documentation and communication, etc.)

* Lead and manage various compensation related projects (company-wide fair pay reviews, establishing salary ranges, etc.)

* Prepare annual executive compensation binder for all benefit plans

* Conduct various audits, including but not limited to: the annual defined benefit and defined contribution audit of all plans with outside counsel, the benefit plans financial audits, etc.

* Overall benefits administration including but not limited to: developing various communication and training materials, coordination of various benefit providers, benefit compliance, annual benefit open enrollment, answering day-to-day inquiries, budgets, researching and recommending new benefits, etc.

* Participate in a variety of compensation and benefit surveys to ensure our compensation practices remain in line and/or above industry standard and making recommendations on best practices

* Overall oversight of executive compensation

* Ensure plans are current, accurately accounted and comply with all government/state regulations. Work closely with third parties to ensure compliance. Amend and restate documents either by plan sponsor request or legislative changes, as necessary

* Tracking of compensation survey/trend to provide recommendations to management

* Assist in the maintenance of on-line systems, tools and communications to support the administration of compensation programs

General

* Must be able to research and handle extremely confidential information in an expeditious and discretionary fashion

* Responsible for liaising with the Accounting, Financial Reporting and the Talent Management & Operations team in a respectful and competent manner to ensure business needs are met

* Responsible for developing policies, procedures, and institute industry best practices.

* Responsible for remaining current on all recent changes in regulations affecting compensation matters and notifying the affected staff of the changes and business implications

* Recommend and implement changes leading to best practice, strong audit controls and improved efficiency in operations

* Responsible for responding to questions and special requests from employees and management in a timely manner

* Prepares budgets, reports, and special reports for senior management

* Deliver a high quality service to internal and external customers in a professional manner within the specified timeframes

* Performs other responsibilities, as requested

Qualifications and Experience:

* Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field

* Minimum of 4 - 6 years of compensation experience, with increasing levels of responsibility

* Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now and timekeeping system is highly desirable

* Attention to detail a must. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation highly preferred

* Expert level in Microsoft Excel is required

* Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, etc.

* Experience in complex analytics and financial analysis

* Must maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
