What Will I Be Doing?

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility to include all pools, pool equipment, buildings, and grounds. You would be required to complete daily operational roles as well as preventative practices to maintain the interior and exterior of the facility and pools. You will supervise the Facilities Maintenance Staff. You are considered a working manager and would be required to work weekends and evenings as needed.

This position is for a new hotel property, Homewood Suites by Hilton, opening in March 2022. Homewood Suites is located near the new Panama City Beach Sports park near Hathaway bridge. As a new hotel, there is alot of moving, setting up, troubleshooting issues with the new equipment. During the pre-opening and opening times, there are alot of long days getting the hotel ready for guests.

What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?

To be successful in this position, you would need a experience in the building maintenance field, experience as a supervisor and a current Certified Pool Operator. Communication and customer service skills and experience is necessary as their is heavy internal and external guest interaction as well as training associates and communicating with a variety of professionals. Computer experience is also necessary as it is the tool for scheduling, payroll, ordering, and communication within the company. An OSHA certification must be obtained if you do not already possess this certificate.

What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?

Majority of working hours are inside and there will be outside hours in the heat of summer or the cold temperatures of the winter. Position requires frequent standing, occasional kneeling and occasional climbing on ladders. Position requires frequent walking, carrying and lifting of items weighing up to 65 pounds. Hazards of work are hazardous pool or other cleaning chemicals, heavy industrial machinery, electrical systems. Work in a busy environment with frequent guests. Able to access all property and drive to other areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
