Job Description

The Product Portfolio Leader will report directly to the Senior Director of Oncology Software Managed Services and will be a key member of the leadership team. This role will be the single point of accountability for the product portfolio of our Managed Services (FullScale) business (both customer facing and internal) as well as the needed product support for future SaaS products.

The Product Portfolio Leader will play a crucial role in (a) ensuring a clear road map of Managed Services solutions, (b) defining rollout strategies and migration plans for existing SW solutions, (c) working across the organization to define new Managed Services offerings, (d) ensuring that sales, marketing, customer management and IT have alignment with product direction, and ensuring regional needs are built into the product roadmap and delivered on. Success metrics will include product execution, alignment to corporate goals, ability to support sales and customer needs, minimal bugs and defects, and on-time delivery of solutions.

This role will also ensure that all Varian Oncology Systems software products are developed within the Managed Services framework and are scalable, that production and staging environments are robust and meet commercially driven expectations, and tools are developed to support monitoring and deployment methodologies through automation.

Successful attributes include the ability to effectively manage a team of direct reports as well as work across the organization at all levels to evangelize and garner support for the vision and direction of the Oncology Software Managed Services organization. Other parts of the organization will look to this person as a trusted business partner who will be a key influencer on product direction, execution, deployment, and strategic alignment. As such, a high degree of collaborative influence and teaming will be essential for success in this role.

Success will require experience with and a thorough understanding of Managed Services products, deployment methodology, environment and organization.

The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of SaaS/Managed Services solutions and is a proven influencer across all levels of the company. He/she has seasoned people-manager experience (direct or indirect), proven track record for collaborative influence across organizations, and demonstrated experience as a change agent for initiatives that encompass substantial change impacting people, process, and technology.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

* 10 years of related experience with proven track record of building and deploying SaaS / Managed Services solutions

* 5 years of experience managing teams of high achievers.

* Experience and strength working in a matrix-style organization with cross-functional accountability and influence.

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an engineering/technical field. Advanced degree preferred.

* Technical background with working knowledge of software / managed technologies such as Citrix, VMWare, Azure, Kubernetes, OMS, Azure ADFS, Jira

Desired Experience/Skills

* Software engineering experience sufficient to build credibility and trust among software engineering community

* Familiarity with and experience delivering on large-scale enterprise IT requirements

* Experience implementing services in line with ITIL standards

* Intimate understanding for why customers purchase software managed services and demonstrated experience building solutions to exceed these expectations

* Knowledge of security / privacy requirements across multiple geography's
