Job Description

In this key role, the Global Commercial Finance Business Partner will partner up with the global leaders of Commercial Sales and Field Operations. The Global Commercial Finance Business Partner will lead a team consisting of geo finance leads who partner with geo-based sales leaders. Key roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Being trusted advisor to the global commercial leader in both a financial capacity (primary) and operational capacity (secondary)

* Driving optimized operational and financial performance at Contribution Margin level (Orders, Shipments, Revenue, Margin and Sales/Marketing Opex)

* Engaging product marketing teams to determine the best pricing models, books and driving pricing discipline through governance without hindering the velocity of the sales teams

* Monitoring controls, compliance and risk environment

* Working as liaison between the business and the centralized FP&A organization to ensure appropriate plans are captured, and variance analyses are performed to enable executive management to understand business trends and growth drivers; work with operational teams to determine Revenue conversion cycles, order cycles and other inputs are well known to make the appropriate financial commitments within a quarter

* Work with sales team to drive productivity improvements through go-to-market structure, tools or people to optimize contribution margin

* Engaging in deal structure in multiple countries to ensure price to value, reasonable terms and conditions, and credit, collections and financing attributes are all considered. Work with legal and contracts departments to ensure all risks are well understood and considered in the overall profitability requirements.

* Ad hoc business analysis, cross-functional teaming, etc.

Job Requirements

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Master's Degree preferred. 15 years of related experience.

* 7 years management experience.

* Understands US GAAP, capable of recognizing and influencing revenue recognition triggers and is able to interpret and apply to day-to-day financial activities.

* Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people.

* Effective interpersonal skills.

* Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
