Active Selling Leader

Your tasks will include:

* Provides a great IKEA shopping and brand experience to drive repeat visitation to the IKEA store, while ensuring the team is customer-centric.

* Oversees the daily operations of the active selling team on the shop floor in order to ensure a consistent customer shopping experience, while ensuring a flexible, competent, and knowledgeable active selling work force, including selling service products.

* Provides local product knowledge tools and resources in order to ensure that all co-workers are Home Furnishing experts (e.g. product analysis) and partners with the Field advisor.

* Listens and learns from customers in order to understand their shopping experience and the local market.

* Monitors IKEA's performance against agreed goals, taking action when required.

* Secures specialized knowledge and training in order to enable co-workers to sell specialized home furnishing solutions, such as kitchens, bath, storage systems, etc.

* Ensures co-workers' competence on system knowledge (ISELL, Home Planner, CAD, etc.).

* Is available to deal with issues raised by customers in a positive and quick manner.

* Oversees all selling areas in the store, hosts co-workers and provides customer service for any quick questions.

YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

* Associate's Degree

* Previous retail selling experience preferred.

* Problems solving skills.

* Strong understanding of what excellent customer service looks like.

* Passion for home furnishings.

* Ability to handle customer enquiries.

* Attention to detail.

* Ability to prioritize and organize my work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available.

* Experience of actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

* Computer literate and interested in new applications and tools.

* Experience of managing and developing a team preferably in retail environment.
