This position supportsthe Interstim Therapy groups in the areas of surgical coverage, follow-up,support, troubleshooting, customer service and education within a territory. In certain instances this person may be engaged in basic marketdevelopment activities depending upon the needs of the assigned territory.

PositionResponsibilities

* Represents Medtronic Neuromodulation during surgeries and implants byproviding all necessary equipment and products required for the implant,demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up support andtroubleshooting techniques (such as proper device selection, appropriateprogramming, correct implantation and testing of all device systems). •Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well ascompetitive products. • For new and existing accounts, this position is ableto proactively identify needs and teach a broader level of caregivers andaccount employees. This position educates and trains physicians, hospitalpersonnel and office staff on technical matters relating to our products andtherapies. This is achieved by coordinating: one on one sessions, inservice education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums. •Assists district manager and in-house training department in education/trainingof new employees in the district (therapy consultants, clinical specialists,field clinical engineers, etc.). • Provides sales supportduring or following cases such as completing the necessary documentation (forexample: implant registration, temporary id cards, packing list) and is able toexecute invoices in a variety of different situations. This position isable to place an order with customer service for pending purchase orders andproduct replacement. • Maintains open and effective communication with alldistrict personnel, customers and other Medtronic employees. •Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projectsat the regional and/or national level. • Ensure personal understanding of allquality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow allwork/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high qualitywork. • Performs other related activities, as assigned.

Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals and offsite meetings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interactwith a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications

6 years of patient care/clinical experience with Bachelor's Degree or 3 yearsof medical sales experience with Bachelor Degree.

Desired/PreferredQualifications

* Bachelors Degree Preferred • Masters Degree Preferred • Clinical skill and knowledge(ex. conduct a simple trial, implant and/or refill a pump)Clinical experience withimplantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience. • Experience in servicing medicalpersonnel on product use • Experiencewith a medical device company or pharmaceutical company, and clinical experience ina specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic,operating room, or home health care. • Ability to communicateeffectively with sales and health care professionals. • Ability to coach others on useof products and clinical applications. • Excellent organizationalskills. • Ability toprioritize under pressure • Manage multiple taskssimultaneously Preference will be given to local qualified candidates andcandidates with Medtronic experience
