A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITIES TECHNICIAN / BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER
As a Facilities Technician / Building Maintenance Worker, you are passionate about ensuring that our staff and those we serve are provided a safe and well-maintained environment. Keeping an eye out for any problems in our building, grounds, and equipment, you complete daily and weekly checks. You perform maintenance and minor repairs to ensure that everything is in working order. When necessary, you receive approval to purchase equipment, furnishings, and fixtures for each project. If there is ever a job too large for you to complete, you make the arrangements for outside vendors to perform those repairs and maintenance.
Each day brings a combination of daily checklists, occasional tasks, and unexpected surprises. You love that you are never bored. And, most of all, you feel great about the important part you play in improving people's lives!
- 2+ years of experience with facility repairs and maintenance
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screen
Can you perform a wide variety of repairs? Do you have strong written and verbal communication skills? Are you able to prioritize tasks and utilize your time and resources effectively? If so, you may be perfect for this position!
The typical schedule for this position is Wednesday-Sunday.
