SUMMARY: Under direction, perform investigation,engineering design, construction and operations and maintenance tasks, andprojects. Perform civil andenvironmental projects in accordance with RCRA, CERCLA, UST, CWA and otherappropriate state and federal regulations. Prepare, develop and assist in the preparation of proposals andqualification statements. Perform fieldassessment and remediation activities as directed by supervisor. May work independently on projects of smallerscope or assist senior engineers on projects of greater scope or complexity.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: Other duties may beassigned as determined appropriate by the supervisor based on level ofexperience.

* Perform and manage projects and project tasks inthe public and private sector. Participatein functions involving contact with client representative. Work/coordinate with project teampersonnel. Perform technical functionson projects and possibly direct the technical efforts of more junior projectteam members on environmental, engineering and construction projects.

* Assist in preparation of proposals,subcontracts, work plans and reports under direction of senior staff.

* Supervise and coordinate the work of juniorlevel staff on projects as appropriate. Provide technical direction and guidance to CADD operators, designers,technicians and field personnel.

* Assist in and potentially lead efforts inpreparing remedial action plans, feasibility studies, corrective measurestudies, and other engineering documents.

* Assist in remediation system operation andmaintenance and execution of remedial strategy's, perform data evaluation andremedy selection for UST, CERCLA and RCRA sites.

EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree (B.S.)in Civil/Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a related area; a minimum ofthree to six years of related experience. Engineer-in-Training certificate anddirect experience in essential duties listed above are desirable. (Chlorinated solvent remediation experienceis a plus).
