B Resort is currently seeking a Director of Food & Beverage to direct and organize the food and beverage function in order to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and merchandising to maximize profits. This person will also lead and implement creative change in banquets and in-room dining, creating limitless memorable experiences to give the hotel a competitive edge in the market.

Essential Duties

* Oversees the function of all food and beverage outlets and banquets to ensure a high level of guest service, while maximizing revenue and profits.

* Develops, implements, and monitors reports and schedules for the operations of all outlets & banquets to achieve a profitable result.

* Develops and implements operating procedures geared towards delivering a consistently high level of customer service and satisfaction.

* Oversees food and beverage quality, service cleanliness, purchasing and promotions.

* Achieves budgeted revenues, controls expenses, and maximizes profitability within all areas of the food and beverage department.

* Participates with the hotel chefs, F&B/Banquet managers, and catering managers with menu creation, menu costing, and the development and implementation of service standards.

* Implements food, beverage, and labor cost controls.

* Assists with hiring, training, and developing F&B staff.

* Interacts with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and promote customer loyalty.

* Evaluates cost effectiveness of all aspects of the operation.

* Develops and implements cost saving and profit enhancing measures.

* Manages overall F&B and outlet P&Ls including review and analysis of monthly results and preparing budgets and forecasts.

Job Requirements

* High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.

* Two to three years hotel management experience in overall Food and Beverage operations.

* Culinary, sales and service background strongly preferred.

* Must have knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.

* One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.

* Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

* Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.

* Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.

* Knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, and wage and hour issues.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
