GBI Tile & Stone has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Business Development Manager based out of the qualified candidate's Southeast home office. GBI Tile & Stone offers a friendly environment where Customer Service and Teamwork are highly valued.

Summary

This position is responsible for growing profitable sales of the company's products within the assigned regional territory. This is achieved by obtaining new customers and growing existing business with established customer base.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

* Grow sales of the company's natural stone, porcelain, and luxury glass and mosaic programs

* Meet and work with ownership, designers, showroom personnel, outside sales, to drive sales through them. Develop strong relationships with this group.

* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve the desired results for the company

* Responsible for organizing and implementing product knowledge within customer base. Ensure all customers are informed and comfortable with our total product offering.

* Work in tandem with GBI Customer Service Team to target key accounts and develop programs that service their needs.

* Gather and provide competitive analysis

* Travel as required to execute sales plan and achieve results

* Continually look for new opportunities for sales growth

* Responsible for overseeing and advising the company on forward moving trends on designs and innovation

* Resolve customer concerns and product issues in timely fashion

* Identify market niches to target sales of specific programs

* Be well versed and speak confidently on product knowledge, merchandising programs, and marketing tools

* Follow up with clients as promised

Routine Duties And Responsibilities

* Work as a team and communicate well with GBI customer service and operations personnel

* Provide input on reports, track budgets and expense accounts as directed

* Provide data for pipeline and sales reports on monthly basis

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Must be able to work with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook

* General knowledge of flooring industry, with emphasis on natural stone and porcelain tile

* General knowledge of wholesale distribution sales and specialty retailers

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Adaptable and flexible

* Assertive and able to work with variety of personalities

* Self motivated and directed

* Able to work independently

* Ability to learn and grow

* Willingness to be coached

* Ability to travel the majority of the time

* Must be able to operate office machines including, computer, printer, calculator, copier, and fax machine

* Valid Drivers License; Auto Insurance

Education And/Or Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
