Social Security Benefits Representative
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Social Security Benefits Representative. As an organizational representative payee, we are entrusted with managing the Social Security benefits of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need assistance handling their finances. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients by ensuring their financial well-being and helping them meet their basic needs. We are located right off the I-15 in Orem Utah. We have an amazing team of professionals that will provide on-the-job training. This is a job where you will be directly able to make a difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a caseload of clients receiving Social Security benefits.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the area offices that care for the individuals we serve.
- Receive benefit payments on behalf of clients and manage their finances in accordance with Social Security Administration guidelines.
- Set up and manage utility accounts, ensuring timely payments and the continuity of essential services.
- Handle bill payments, including rent, insurance, medical expenses, and other necessary obligations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including bookkeeping, receipts, and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients' needs are met effectively and efficiently.
- Stay updated on changes in Social Security regulations and policies to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with programs and agencies to maintain clients’ eligibility for state and federal benefits
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, social services, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Compassionate and patient, with the ability to empathize with clients' situations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with accounting software.

Compensation for this position is $18.50 - $25/hour
