To teach a variety of early childhood education and teacher education courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction.

* Plans and implements classroom instruction.

* Maintains records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluates level of achievement, communicates with students and assigns grades.

* Reviews, evaluates, and revises course objectives, materials and course syllabi with other faculty members as needed.

* Serves as academic advisor to students and participates in recruitment and retention activities.

* Serves on institutional teams as assigned.

* Participates in professional development activities as per Individual Professional Development Plan.

* As program coordinator, will be responsible for arranging observation sites, working with transfer institutions, obtaining health information and background information of students, and preparing accreditation reports.

Minimum and Additional Requirements: Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with 18 graduate hours in Early Childhood Education. Five (5) years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with the training and supervision of student educators, and strong instructional technology experience. Competence in instructional technology and online course development and maintenance. Previous college-level teaching experience is preferred.

Additional Comments:Position will teach day, evening, online and hybrid courses on college campus and area high schools and technology centers.
