* This internship will be part time with 20 hours per week. This internship would be a year long, not just for the summer.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Assists the Advertising Team with a variety of advertising activities for WoodmenLife Representatives, Financial Representatives, Recruiting Sales Mangers, Regional Directors and Home Office Associates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Assists advertising team with advertising requests from WoodmenLife Representatives, Financial Representatives, Recruiting Sales Managers, Regional Directors and Home Office Associates.

* Helps administer advertising template library on mywoodmen.org. This includes uploading and removing advertisements by state as needed. Compiles online research of advertising and industry data as needed.

* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

* Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by supervisor and WoodmenLife policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, working closely with multiple audiences and stakeholders.

* Solid classroom preparation in mass communications, journalism, public relations and/or advertising.

* Willingness and desire to learn and develop specific skills and abilities.

* Good computing skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional,.

* Self-motivated and a team player.

* Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.

* Demonstrates good customer service and relationship-building skills.

* The ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service.

* Engages well with others and are passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Working knowledge of digital media (Web, email, social media, display, mobile, etc.)
